Goldcrest Partners works with your current and future leaders to develop the skills, behaviours and mindsets that improve immediate performance and prepare for succession.
Giving your people the skills to succeed
Is a good leader born or made? As with most nature/nurture questions the answer is – a bit of both. While there are certain immutable traits and characteristics that naturally good leaders demonstrate, there is a lot that can be done to nurture leadership skills that seldom get developed on the job.
About Goldcrest Partners’ Leadership Programmes
We offer open leadership programmes to clients who do not have the internal participant numbers for an in-house programme and still want to benefit from the powerful group learning that these courses bring.
We also offer bespoke in-house programmes that can cover a similar leadership curriculum to our open programmes adapted to your leadership framework and can incorporate other streams of learning e.g. technical training, client skills and team elements.
Typical elements of our programmes:
In-person modules
The real benefit of in-person programmes is the network effect, and while the virtual environment can be useful for sharing knowledge it is not good for developing strong bonds between individuals. In person development allows for effective debate.
Personal leadership philosophy
All our programmes aim to support participants in building their own philosophy around leadership, which they can adapt and change as they experience more on their leadership journey.
Active involvement
Our programmes are always hands on and not just knowledge transfer. People learn by doing and discussing, so our programmes always involve both trying things out and talking about our experiences. We work hard to eliminate unnecessary PowerPoint. The experience is in the room, not on the screen.
Robust debate
Leadership is a topic, which is wide open for debate, and we want our participants to engage in it. It is only through really debating an issue, and often debating against yourself, that we can truly understand our own position.
Peer support
We always create peer support relationships which run through the programme and hopefully sustain beyond. We believe being supported by and held accountable by peers is of huge value to the learning experience and puts in place good habits to take back into the business.
Business benefit projects
An opportunity to get a cross functional group of high potential talent to work on real business problems by applying the lessons learnt on the programme. These can, if appropriate, have a tangible RoI attached to them.
Masterclasses
We always have a thread of small form Masterclasses on leadership skills which run through our programmes and can be accessed virtually. These complement the content worked through on in-person modules and maintain the learning momentum.
